Daily Prompt: Feast

It was a feast so elaborate and abundant that the table heaved with a miscellany of deliciousness, set this day on silver platters. Red wine and crystal goblets added to the majesty of what one might expect in this house. It was a sight to be seen. Yet only one diner and her server were present. Sadly, the feast before her was equal to the paucity of friends willing to attend. Giving rise to the idiom in this case that – ‘Where there’s feast there’s famine’
