Daily Prompt: Carefree

Carefree: yes, she was that. Free from anxiety or responsibility, unworried, untroubled, airy and nonchalant. Relaxed and serene, well, no not all the time. Nor should she always be. There was so much to be conquered. Easy-going, I would say almost placid, casual even, like she had all the time in the world. You know how they say you should ‘stop and smell the roses.’ She did, literally. And picked them, and pulled them apart, petal by petal. Time was her friend; she loved it and had so much to spend. Was she blasé? If she was, I wouldn’t have it any other way! I loved her devil-may-care, insouciant attitude. Encouraged it even! Oh, if only I could, if only we all could be more like her.

I guess it is the joy of being three and carefree!
