Daily Prompt: Jump

“Take my hand,” he said, reaching out to me. He clasped mine in his. His strength buoyed me as it always did, “come on we’ll jump together,” he smiled, encouragingly.

We sat at the edge while I gathered my courage, with him beside me there was nothing I couldn’t do.

“Ready?” He asked with a patience he has always used with me.

“Ready!” I said.

And then we jumped!

Life is a leap of faith, we knew together we could beat anything.



I find writing to be a great escape from the busyness of life, which is why I enjoy playing with flash fiction when I have the time.
