Daily Prompt: Transformation

There was no big bang, no ton of bricks hitting me unawares, it was more a subtle shift, a gradual change. Not only in thought, but feelings and direction too. An awareness of what is. I can’t pinpoint when it happened.  It was a work in progress, I’m a work in progress – we all are. In hindsight there were signs that it was occurring. Isn’t hindsight a wonderful thing? I didn’t feel it or know it at the time and yet I’m sure it’s all a natural part of being.

That’s us, in a nutshell really. Isn’t it? Constant transformation in creation, by the minute! We are a testament to impermanence and the knowledge that tomorrow we may not be who we are today. I remember once someone saying to me that people don’t change. I don’t think that’s true. We constantly change, as does the world around us. Change is not always a bad thing.


I find writing a great escape from the busyness of life, which is why I enjoy playing with flash fiction, musings  and an eclectic mix of writing genres, when I have the time.

Having said that, the main focus at  is to share awareness of the rare/uncommon cancer my husband Brendan has…
