The weekend is the perfect place to start a new Daily Practice:
Try this: Love
Every day for 10 days place your focus on love. No matter where you are or what you are doing, no matter who you encounter; replace all judgement and action with love, starting with You. In fact most importantly You!
They say it takes 10 days to create a habit – now I’m not sure who they are, but I like it. Let’s give it a go!
Don’t forget to journal your experiences at the end of each day:
You may find this more challenging than it sounds so stick with it.
Keep in mind throughout the process that we are all spiritual beings at our core. We are Peaceful and loving, complete in our own selves. Rituals and religious beliefs can, however, make up or strengthen our belief systems; although no external aid is required for us to be whole, those who seek aid outside of themselves generally do so to find a sense of connection, community, belonging, comfort and peace.
Any religious or spiritual practice can be used as a tool towards inner awakening and self awareness when practiced with loving intent.
Caution should only be taken when seeking spiritual guidance outside of oneself, if your reasons for doing so are unclear to you. If you are in search of your authentic self, your purpose or mission…all those answers, believe it or not can be best answered by you.
It is wise to remember that you are the most powerful person in your life. Don’t be tempted to give that power away. That being said, exercising and maintaining the good health of your spiritual and emotional bodies, your inner self, is equal to the importance of exercising and maintaining the good health of your physical body. If you need a little help and guidance in doing that – explore your options with an open mind, there are many.
For true health and well being we have to aim to maintain balance in good health inside and out.
the first step to achieving inner wellness
So often we place our focus and money on looking fit and healthy on the outside. Yet if your inner health is suffering it affects your physical health in very obvious ways.
Balance is essential.
Loving yourself unconditionally (Yes – make it a daily practice) is the best start you can give You in achieving and maintaining complete wellness Mind, Body and Spirit. You are worth the commitment.
Affirm: I feel loved, I give love, I am love
Some of my fave daily practices that can enhance well-being and support the practice of self love are…
- spending time at the beach
- hanging out with family, pets, friends
- Energy Therapies
- a daily cup of tea or coffee in quiet reflection
- listening to music
The list is long, these are just a few suggestions: a beneficial daily practice can be anything that brings you joy, fills you with love and enhances your well-being. Have fun exploring your options and putting them into practice.
