Today I participated in a daily prompt writing challenge. The word was Symptom and it hit a nerve . It got me thinking about how our body speaks to us in a language that is often hard to understand, and can go completely unheard. Silently screaming, until the damage is done. Making the undoing a monumental challenge that leaves you wondering, ‘what did I miss?’
The featured image to this post shows my husband and our children at the beach, he has a bandage around his leg at the place he had been experience some niggling pain from the tumor we didn’t know he had for more than a year. Unbeknown to us at the time, this pain was a sign or possible symptom, that something was wrong. This photo was taken in March 2014, he would be diagnosed in June.
We had just enjoyed a wonderful, carefree Spring and Summer season..
