The Shed Luxe

I can’t believe it has been a couple of months since my last post. Life got very busy back in February when my sisters and I decided to kick our little business plan into high speed and renovate a little workers cottage to grow The Shed Luxe into, and so I haven’t had time to share a post since May.

The trades have now finished inside, we are almost ready to relaunch and will be available at Shedquarters: 64 Commerce St Taree to assist with all purchases, pick ups and deliveries during regular business hours from next week.

I could go on and on about how fabulous our reno team was. The very best bunch of blokes you could have hoped to work with. You all know who you are and we love ya like family. The care you put into our little cottage is obvious to the eye of the beholder and in the heart of the house. Everyone who walks into our little workers cottage comments on how warm and welcoming it feels, and that is because everyone involved in its renovation has put their heart into it.

During the reno a couple of other very important things happened. We welcomed two new little family members into the world. First came little Maisie Jordon, and just two days ago little Kai Andrew. Making me a very proud Great Aunty for the fourth time.  We love them both, along with Maisie’s big brother Ashton and their big cousin Amelia, to the moon and back.

The busyness of life has been a constant and it reminds me that self-care is important and that I need to remember to take time to BE around all the DOING…but like the plumber with the leaky tap at home (just an expression and definitely not about our plumber) I have not been observing my daily practice consistently and that has created some issues for me. So I am working on getting back to walking my talk urged by the suggestion of my big bro Mike in his usual unobtrusive, wise way, who has given me a little extra support this month right when I needed it the most.

Opting back into working outside the home this year, for the first time since having the children, Im finding it difficult to get the work/life balance right. I take my hat off to everyone out there doing the same and would love to hear about what You do to juggle all that needs to be juggled. I know we can’t find more time, as there are only 24 hours in each day! I guess it comes down to how you prioritise that time that makes it work.

Change can be a hard task master,  and it ‘s rarely easy to walk a new path. There can be doubt, fear and confusion mixed with the excitement, fun and much laughter. The duality in living is ever present, but I look forward to following the path I have set myself upon and seeing where it leads… as I focus on the excitement, fun and laughter…and creating something wonderful with my sisters for everyone to enjoy!

Here is a little peak at why the months have past by so quickly….
