It’s Saturday the 29th of December. The kids and I have been packing for a mini-break — just a few days away, to say goodbye to 2018 and ring in the New Year with family that we don’t get to see often enough.
We made the decision to go away for our New Years celebrations on boxing day …. and are thinking of making spontaneity a thing for 2019 because it has made the last couple of days very happy ones. To say we are excited is an understatement.
This being my last post for 2018, I have been racking my brain for something meaningful or wise to say to wrap up what has been a busy, mostly happy and successful year, and then realised I wouldn’t come up with anything more appropriate than this beautiful quote by Hal Borland:
“Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instil in us.”
Dear friends, may we all spend more time doing what we love in the year ahead. (for me that includes more time at the beach alone, with my kids, with Otis and with family & friends — no matter the season)
I hope you find an abundance of love, happiness, wonder, kindness, peace, fun, laughter and success in all of your goings on in 2019.
Let’s talk more next year
