Kalico

Exciting times: I began studying again a little over a year ago. Seeking a new challenge, I settled on an independent book publishing course. And a whole new world unfolded. I have been fascinated by the content and inspired by the teachers and students I am studying with.

I am also currently working with a dynamic team of rising authors, editors, and creatives, and have put my course work, analytical and research skills to work. As a team, we are creating Kalico’s first book, due to launch in the first half of the year – all going well. (No writer’s block please, Ivy – time is money, lol)

Bonus content – The Pursuit of Wisdom, was created during research for The Art of Wise Living, our upcoming debut book by Author Ivy Carr, a French/Canadian Mum of two and is available in an easy-read email that covers six essential concepts that will help you in the art of wise living.

The concepts in The Pursuit of Wisdom are a brief look at those covered in more depth in Ivy’s debut nonfiction book, The Art of Wise Living. Concepts I have used to move through the most difficult of times. I am working closely with our author, Ivy, to bring a useful, easy-read book to the market to help others do the same.

Not only am I stepping into a new industry, one I have sat on the periphery for a long time, but it also allows me the luxury of working from home and anywhere else in the world my wandering heart might take me.

Middle age is a pretty good place to be.

Great post! It’s inspiring to read about your journey into the world of independent book publishing and your upcoming launch of Kalico’s first book. I’m curious to know more about the six essential concepts covered in The Pursuit of Wisdom and how they will be explored further in The Art of Wise Living. Can you give us a sneak peek into some of the practical advice readers can expect to find in the book?
